BETTYE SWANN - THE MONEY RECORDINGS (KENT 197)

"Make Me Yours" is considered by many the definitive soul track and it's difficult to argue against this statement but it's better not to forget that Bettye Swann recorded many other great songs as testified by this cd. "Fall In Love With Me", for example, is a fabulous slice of midtempo soul while "Don't Take My Mind" is a first division stomper (a new mix version is also included). Here are represented all her Money 45s so, if you like classy 60's soul, don't miss this one. West Coast rule!
