VARIOUS - MODERN SOUL CONNOISSEURS (UNIVERSAL)

Come on guys, Modern Soul is getting popular also in the big rooms so please don't miss this one, a classy cd compiled by soul guru Richard Searling. Some tracks appeared in previous compilations (and are still probably the best of the entire cd) but this time the sound quality is at the top (Collins & Collins, Gloria Scott, Beloyd, Jesse James). Gene Chandler's "Let me make love to you" and Marvin Gaye's "Come get to this" are now well established classics all over Europe and it's a big pleasure to find such great tracks in this cd. Lawrence Payton's "Tell me you love me" is very similar to the Four Tops version, a super sexy song to play late at night. Also the rest is very good, Bobby Hutton, the Topics (one of the most sought after 70s record!), Randy Brown, Bottom & Company's magic "Gonna find a true love", Carolyn Sullivan show the best side of the music we love.
